Ira E. Goldberg is a native New Yorker, completing his entire higher education on the Island of Manhattan.
After receiving his Bachelors Degree from Columbia, he served four years as an officer in the United States Navy with assignments that included Weapons Department Head on a destroyer and a posting to the United States Naval Advisory Group, Republic of Korea Navy, Seoul, Korea.
He returned to school on the GI Bill and earned a Masters Degree from the Columbia University School of International Affairs and a law degree from Fordham University.
During his final year of law school, he served as pro bono law clerk to Hon. Harold J. Raby, Magistrate Judge, Southern District of New York.
He began his legal career as an associate with the firm of Wilson Elser where he practiced as a litigator on defendants' side liability matters. Switching focus, his next position was with Hawkins Delafield & Wood where he practiced public finance law.
Once again re-focusing his career, Mr. Goldberg joined Crocker Bank in San Francisco and then Bankers Trust Company in New York as an investment banker specializing in public finance and capital markets.
After leaving Bankers Trust, he became a Partner at Fischbein Badillo Wagner & Harding. His next positions included Restructuring Officer for Globalstar Telecommunications, Inc, a multi-billion satellite-based communications company undergoing restructuring and eventual Chapter 7 bankruptcy and Newcourt Corporation, an American satellite office of a major Canadian financial services company.
Mr. Goldberg next opened his own legal practice, The Law Offices of Ira E. Goldberg, where he operated a general practice which included litigation, personal bankruptcy and landlord-tenant matters.
In 2017, he began working on plaintiff side per diem litigation appearances for Davidoff & Associates, and became of counsel to the firm in 2018.
