Queens Burn Injury Attorneys
Representing Victims of Severe Burns in Forest Hills, Queens, & Throughout NY
Burn injuries are not only painful; they often result in severe scarring and disfigurement, which can lead to immense emotional distress. In many cases, burns are even catastrophic in nature, leading to costly medical treatment and ongoing care. Victims can find themselves facing mounting medical bills, even as they are unable to earn their normal wages while they take time off work to heal. All of this can put injured victims and their families under a great deal of financial strain in addition to the physical and emotional toll these injuries bring.
At Davidoff Law, we understand just how devastating severe burn injuries are, both for you and your family. If you were injured as a result of someone else’s careless, reckless, or negligent behavior, our Forest Hills burn injury attorneys are here to help you hold the liable party accountable. We have recovered millions of dollars for our clients, and we offer contingency fees, meaning you owe us nothing unless we secure compensation for you.

Types of Burns
Burn injuries are classified into three categories according to the severity of the burns. While some people recognize a fourth degree of burns, most medical professionals agree that there are three primary degrees of burns.
These three categories include:
- First-Degree Burns: These are the mildest type of burn injury, typically resulting in reddened skin and localized pain. First-degree burns can lead to mild scarring/skin discoloration, but such injuries are typically treatable. First-degree burns can be effectively treated at home with ice/cool water, over-the-counter topical ointments, and over-the-counter pain medication (if needed).
- Second-Degree Burns: Second-degree burns are “moderate” burns, falling between first- and third-degree burns in severity. They typically affect the upper and lower layers of skin, and will likely lead to redness, swelling, blistering, and marked pain. Second-degree burns can be very dangerous if not properly treated, as they can lead to infection.
- Third-Degree Burns: The most severe type of burn, third-degree burns affect the upper and lower layers of skin, as well as surrounding tissues and bone in some cases. Third-degree burns are very serious and require immediate medical attention. Treatment may include skin grafting and other surgeries, administration of antibiotics, and other professional medical care.
Both second- and third-degree burns are generally considered catastrophic, especially when they affect large areas of the body or certain areas, such as the face, hands, or genital area.
We Fight to Hold Negligent Parties Responsible for Your Damages
Burn injuries are often incredibly serious; victims will likely require extensive medical treatment, which can quickly become very costly. And, of course, this is nothing compared with the overwhelming physical and emotional trauma of these types of injuries. If you sustained burn injuries as a result of someone else’s negligence, we believe that you should not have to face all of these consequences on your own.
At Davidoff Law, we have earned a reputation as zealous trial attorneys, unafraid of taking on major insurance providers and their legal teams in both state and federal courts. If you were severely burned in an auto accident, after using a defective product, as a result of dangerous property conditions, or in any other way that was not your fault, our team is ready to fight for you.
