Peter S. Thomas has a strong presence in Queens County and, having worked with over 40 different law firms over the last 23 years, is recognized by the legal community as a serious litigator. He handles all aspects of trial preparation and trial presentation and has secured over 350 jury verdicts in both state and federal courts, as well as millions of dollars for his clients by both settlement and verdict. His recent successes include a $13,500,000 verdict and agreed upon $10,018,876.18 settlement for a wrongful death case resulting from a motor vehicle accident; $5,000,000 settlement for traumatic brain injury case against the City of New York due to a motor vehicle accident with a bicyclist; $1,375,000 settlement for a men sustaining a herniated discs; and $975,000 settlement during trial against the City of New York for a woman who was injured as a result of a trip and fall on a defective sidewalk. He has also recovered a $3,000,000 settlement after trial for multiple plaintiffs after trial against a building owner in Brooklyn after a partial building collapse.
Mr. Thomas successfully represented Korean Airlines in a lawsuit brought by two flight attendants against KAL claiming injuries from an assault on the plane at JFK, which became known as the “nut rage incident.” He also represented HBO and the producer of the documentary film Crazy Love in a lawsuit brought by the film’s stars. Mr. Thomas, along with his twin brother Daniel, also a great trial lawyer, were raised in Rockaway Beach, Queens, where he still has many contacts in the neighborhood. Mr. Thomas has been sought out to represent individuals who suffer personal injuries from many types of accidents.
